Nina Foxx

'In my painting practice I strive to capture quiet moments of contemplation and solitude, private little pockets of fleeting time we spend alone in our thoughts. I am interested in the deep emotional connection we link with simple domestic objects such as a favourite tea stained mug or a meandering down a well trodden path.

Through the use of various mediums including oil, acrylic and graphite I like to work quickly capturing a moment in time using simple yet decisive lines amongst muted and muddy tones. Once a painting begins I try to trust in the process and let it take its own path.'
