Kate studied Fine Art at University of Hull, where she specialized in painting. She works from her home studio in the coastal town of Hornsea. Here she lives with her young family and pets. Kate has been working successfully on various commission projects, creating a range of illustrative greeting cards whilst also consistently exhibiting her work.

She sees her paintings as naïve in style. Her work is richly patterned and textured, describing a line between expressive and abstract elements. She loves to interweave between the real and the imaginary using bold colour, pattern and sometimes humour to depict her work. Currently she has been drawn to her love of nature especially the Yorkshire landscape and coastline for her inspiration.
