Daisy Age Art
Emma is the Mixed Media Artist from York behind ‘Daisy Age Art’ - a name inspired by the playful, positive spirit of the “Daisy Age,” and a celebration of joy, colour, and creative curiosity.
Her creative roots are in set, prop, and costume design — a background that still shapes her work through a love of texture, storytelling, and visual play. Over the years, she’s explored a wide range of materials, from pottery and prosthetics to printmaking, and has long used creativity as a therapeutic tool in her work with others.
Now returning to her own practice, Emma brings together these threads — theatrical design, emotional depth, and joyful exploration — to create tactile, mixed-media pieces using print, fabric, and original vintage photographs. Each one is handmade and completely unique, capturing a moment, memory, or feeling in playful, layered form.
Her work is colourful, nostalgic, and sometimes a bit cheeky — always rooted in connection: to ourselves, our stories, and each other. At the heart of her practice is a simple hope: to spark something — a smile, a memory, or a moment of curiosity.
